Smart Chip is payment on the go. It’s not for online purchases, but for fast and convenient shopping when you’re out and about. Our visual style reflects this in the choice of our imagery: We focus on active characters enjoying life in a colorful and fun way.
Visual Styles
We use two main visual styles, each with its own strengths. You can mix and match these on your layout.

Images
Smart Chip is all about payment on the go. It’s not for online shopping – it’s made for quick, easy purchases while you’re out living life. Our visual style reflects this in the choice of our imagery, featuring active, carefree people enjoying colorful moments.
Our cast showcases a wide range of diverse, trendy characters.
Keep It Real
Our imagery is rooted in real life. Avoid exaggerated facial expressions, overly fake situations and unnatural studio lighting.
Keep It Clear
Our imagery is all about clarity and focus – simple, clean visuals that draw attention without feeling cluttered.
Don’t Be Boring
Smart Chip is exciting and fun – never boring. Think about how you can show everyday activities in fresh, creative ways that stand out.
Vibrant Colors
Smart Chip makes life easier and more fun, and we reflect that with bold, playful colors – never dull or desaturated images.
Limited Palette
Avoid images with too many conflicting colors. Fewer but strong colors let the subject shine and keep the focus clear.
Unique Perspectives
Go for a unique perspective – a bird’s eye view or a low angle shot can instantly make an image more captivating.
Mix Up Your Shots
Use a wide variety of shots, from dramatic wide angles that set the scene to extreme close-ups that highlight the tiniest details. The contrast keeps things dynamic and engaging.
Products
All those rules apply to product shots as well. Go for the interesting pictures, never boring ones.
Closeups
The Smart Chip is small and practically invisible even in medium shots. For that reason, we use closeups of hands to show off the chip and its functions.
You find the closeups in the Smart Chip CC Library.
Hands That Tell a Story
The hands, with their poses and accessories, tell a story about the person they belong to, represent different body types, and come in a variety of skin tones. Our cast is just as diverse as the ways you can use the Smart Chip.
Background
The closeups can be placed on a natural background or on a color background.
Colors
Most closeups are available with neutral as well as colored lighting. The colored lighting versions are especially useful as a background in full bleed layouts.
Visible and Invisible Smart Chips
A lot of people want to proudly show off their Smart Chip, but others prefer a more subtle look. To demonstrate that this option is available, show closeups without a visible Smart Chip from time to time.
